Overview
HKL-97 Pour Point Tester is suitable to the standards of ASTM D97 Standard Test Method for Pour Point of Petroleum Products. After preliminary heating, the sample is cooled at a specified rate and examined at intervals of 3 ℃ for flow characteristics. The lowest temperature at which movement of the specimen is observed is recorded as the pour point.
Features
The instrument is capable of testing pour point and cloud point of petroleum products, thus allowing one to use one unit for multiple purposes.
The cooling bath is equipped with a dual-hole and dual-temperature design, is compact and efficient, by using the refrigeration from the compressor itself without the need for separate refrigerants. Each temperature point can be adjusted separately. This provides a very convenient and flexible way of operation.
There is no need for circulating cooling water—the system uses fan air cooling and immediately turns on the refrigerating after power is connected.
The instrument features a smart temperature controller to make the temperature perfectly regulated. A heating auxiliary tube is specially added to the instrument not only for increasing the accuracy of the temperature control but also for giving a longer life to the compressor. The temperature can be set at any point within the effective cooling range. It comes with a Pt100 sensor which guarantees high sensitivity, excellent resolution, strong anti-interference capability and very accurate temperature control.
The compressor is small, portable and feels very smooth and hardly gets vibrated at all during operation, very suitable for laboratory use.
